I'm Marcel Bakker, a photographer and the founder of BAKKM Photography.
Based in Alkmaar, I work with entrepreneurs, businesses, and individuals throughout the Netherlands. My photography is all about authenticity, atmosphere, and connection—images that not only look professional but also feel genuine.
What appeals to me about photography is not just the image itself, but above all the story behind it. The right photo often emerges in the quiet moments between actions—in a glance, a pose, the light at exactly the right moment, or the atmosphere of a setting.

From global citizen to photographer with an eye for atmosphere and detail
Born in Rotterdam and later shaped by various places and cultures, I developed a strong fascination with people, my surroundings, and stories at an early age.
Nature has always played an important role in this. The vast landscapes, forests, and tranquility of places like Tennessee made a deep impression on me and heightened my sense of light, composition, and atmosphere.
To this day, those influences still form the foundation of my photography:
creating images that radiate tranquility, evoke emotion, and linger in the mind.
More Than Just Photography
In addition to photography, I also organize workshops and creative sessions that bring together nature, photography, and the experience.
In locations such as the Schoorl Dunes, I lead photography workshops for individuals, groups, and companies that focus on learning to see, creativity, and relaxation.

I take the time to put people at ease and work in a relaxed manner that allows for spontaneity and genuine moments.
